Journals are one important part of the national collections digitized by the National Library of Finland for freely accessible online use. Since the end of the 18th century more than ten thousand of journals have been published in Finland.

The journals up until 1929 are in free online use. Newer journals are available for public use in all of the Finland's legal deposit copy libraries.

The journals Suomi, Historiallinen aikakauskirja and Lakimies are available at universities and public libraries that have a user's licence.
